My poem, “Hiking in the Anthropocene,” has been published by EcoTheo Review. I wrote the poem in the forest pictured below on an Appalachian mountain after surviving a flood. I’m honored EcoTheo chose to share it.
I’m very happy my poem, “Hiking in the Anthropocene,” will be published by EcoTheo Review. I wrote the poem in a forest and thought EcoTheo would be the perfect home for it.
5 years ago today was the Elk River, West Virginia Chemical Spill/Water Crisis. It inspired my poems “Cover Us with Mountains” (published by Appalachian Journal) & “Baptism by Fire” (published & Pushcart nominated by Still Journal). Both poems are in my WV-inspired poetry book, Give the Bard a Tetanus Shot.
