Poetry Forthcoming in Poet Lore

I am honored and overjoyed to have my poem, “No Trespassing,” accepted for publication by Poet Lore. The poem was previously accepted by Night Train, but the magazine shut down before the issue made it to print. One door closes, a more exciting one opens. “No Trespassing” will be printed in the Spring/Summer 2016 edition of Poet Lore, which should be released in mid-April.

Established by two Shakespeare scholars in 1889, Poet Lore is America’s oldest, most respected poetry journal. Among the many famous poets featured in Poet Lore were Walt Whitman, Emily Dickinson, Anton Chekhov, Rainer Maria Rilke, Henry Ibsen, Poetry magazine founder Harriet Munroe and recent Pulitizer Prize winner (and my favorite modern poet) Sharon Olds. Whitman’s archives contain correspondence he exchanged with the Poet Lore Editor of his time and the Folger Shakespeare Library recented hosted Poet Lore‘s 125th anniversary gala.
